Artifacts #
What this step produces.
Product Model Set #
A set of models of the product, such as structure, behavior and data views. Together they give the team one shared picture of what will be built.
Wireframes & Mockups #
Simple screen layouts (wireframes) and more realistic visual designs (mockups) of the interface. They let users and stakeholders react to the look and flow before development.
Interactive Prototype #
A clickable model of the product that imitates how it behaves. It is used to test ideas with real users and fix usability problems cheaply.
Design Specification #
A document describing how the product will be built to meet the requirements: structure, components, interfaces and constraints. Developers and testers work from it.
